Shabnam Khan Dawran, editor of Afghan Youth Television (AYTV), pointed out that the station's personnel received unclear information about the new rules of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and they concluded that the best thing to do was to stop all news reports immediately. As a result of this pressure, many journalists can only solve problems by reducing reports, deleting information or fleeing the country.However, these actions will cause great damage to Afghanistan's media freedom and the press industry. In addition, there are terrible situations in which journalists are beaten, detained, executed or killed under attacks by opposition forces. The tragedy continues. In response to these incidents, CPJ called on the Afghan authorities to take urgent action to protect the right to freedom of the press.
